About

There was nowhere to look.

An outside read on every location in a franchise network, every day — built because nobody had the hours to do it by hand.

The question

“Which of your markets is losing right now?”
Nobody in the room could say.

They found out three weeks later. From the franchisee.

The conversation that started this

Where it came from

The book came first.

Refranchised, by Scott Mounce

I asked a franchisor's leadership team which of their markets was losing. Not last quarter — right then, that morning. The room went quiet in the specific way rooms go quiet when everyone assumes somebody else is about to answer.

Nobody did. And it wasn't that they didn't care — these were sharp people running their own marketing and running it well. There was just nowhere to look. Nobody had checked what a customer actually sees when they go looking.

So I started checking by hand, one market at a time. It is exactly as glamorous as it sounds. Five-star locations that weren't in the results at all. Budget going out on days nothing came back. Franchisees quietly losing to a competitor half their age. None of it was anybody's fault. All of it was invisible.

That became Refranchised. The method worked. It also took an afternoon per market and had to be repeated forever, which is the whole problem. Nobody running a network of forty or sixty locations has that kind of time, and the markets don't wait.

So we built it. An AI engine now reads every location in a network every day and writes what it finds in one sentence. Now that question takes about four seconds to answer — and nobody has to hear it from the franchisee first.

What we believe

Four things we won't move on.

We have no stake in the numbers Refranchised takes no share of any network's ad spend and has no hand in the work it reports on. The engine reads; it changes nothing. Anyone reporting on work they did has a reason to want the answer to be good. We don't have one.
Everything is checkable Every finding can be verified by the person reading it, in about thirty seconds, from a phone. We don't ask anyone to take our word for anything.
A finding is a sentence A location, a reason, and what to do about it — in plain English, before you look at a single number. Not a screen to interpret, and not somebody to blame. You get the conclusion, not the homework.
We only report what happened No modelled revenue, no estimated lead values, no projections dressed as facts. If we didn't observe it, we don't show it.

The company

Built by people who have been on both sides of this.

A small engineering team, working alongside operators who have spent years inside national franchise brands.
Everyone here has been the person who didn't have the answer.
